About this Image

There’s something about photographing animals that cuts straight through everything else for me. As much as I love landscapes, light, and place, nothing holds my attention the way a living, breathing subject does.

Moments like this feel rare, even when they aren’t loud or dramatic. A quiet pause. A sense of comfort. Strength without effort. Animals carry themselves with an honesty that doesn’t ask for interpretation. They simply exist, fully present, and that presence is what I’m always chasing with a camera.

This image isn’t about action or tension. It’s about stillness. About witnessing a moment that belongs entirely to the animal, and being allowed, briefly, to observe it.

Context and Landscape

Although my work is most often associated with wide landscapes, nature photography has always been at the core of why I picked up a camera in the first place. I’ve spent years surrounded by animals, both wild and familiar, and that connection has never faded.

There’s a different kind of patience required when working with animals. You don’t control the scene. You don’t direct the moment. You wait, you watch, and you accept what’s given. That unpredictability is what makes these encounters feel so alive.

I have a large archive of nature images that I’ve carried with me for years, many of them unseen.

This photograph was captured as a single image.

No elements were added or removed. The goal was simply to preserve the moment as it unfolded, allowing the animal’s posture, expression, and presence to define the frame without interference.

Limited Edition works are produced in an edition of 25 total prints, regardless of size. Once all 25 are sold, the edition is permanently closed and never reproduced as a single print again. Every piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and a personal narrative that captures the story behind the image, from the journey to the moment it was created.

Printing & Shipping

All prints are made to order and typically require 7-14 business days of production. Once complete, your artwork is carefully packaged and shipped with full insurance and tracking. We ship worldwide; domestic orders within the contiguous United States usually arrive within 1–5 business days. International deliveries are subject to local duties and taxes, which are the responsibility of the buyer. Large pieces may ship via freight and require additional handling time.

Mounting and Displaying your Art

Each piece arrives ready to hang with a professional aluminum cleat system affixed to the back. The cleat interlocks with a matching wall bracket to float the artwork approximately one inch off the wall, giving a refined gallery presentation. For small prints where a cleat is impractical, alternate hardware (screw or wire hanger) may be used on request. Because wall materials vary, we do not supply wall anchors and strongly recommend professional installation, especially for large or high‑value pieces.     Every photograph released as a limited edition is capped at twenty‑five total prints across all sizes and finishes. Once all twenty‑five are placed, the edition closes permanently and is never produced again. Your piece will be accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting the edition number (for example, 3/25), the title, and a personal narrative about how the photograph was captured and created. A serialised holographic sticker links the certificate to the artwork, ensuring provenance and authenticity for resale or appraisal.

    Acrylic

    Face-Mount Process

    Each limited edition print is produced using a gallery‑grade acrylic face‑mounting process. The image is printed on high‑resolution metallic photo paper with archival inks, then permanently bonded to UV‑resistant acrylic using an optically clear adhesive. This technique allows light to pass through the acrylic and reflect off the metallic print, creating depth, vibrant color, and a dramatic presence. Cast acrylic is used to prevent yellowing over time, and the edges are polished for a refined finish.
