This panorama looks out over downtown Las Vegas as the city transitions into evening, captured from the Skyfall Lounge high above the Strip. The skyline stretches across the frame, layered with hotels, casinos, and distant mountains, all sitting beneath a soft desert sky as the lights begin to take over.

Las Vegas is one of those cities that rewards elevation. From above, the chaos quiets down and the layout of the city becomes clear. Buildings stack into one another. Streets flatten into lines. The scale of the place starts to make sense.

This image is presented as a thin panorama to emphasize that depth, allowing the eye to travel across the city rather than settle on any single structure.

Context and Landscape

Downtown Las Vegas sits at the intersection of spectacle and desert. The Strip rises abruptly from an otherwise open basin, framed by mountain ranges that rarely get the attention they deserve. From this vantage point, those mountains become just as important as the buildings themselves.

While I rarely focus my fine art work on cities, Las Vegas continues to be an exception. There’s a sense of anticipation here that never really shuts off. People arrive already energized, already leaning forward, and that collective feeling becomes part of the landscape.

This view, in particular, has always been one of my favorites in the city.

Creation Notes

This image was created as a stitched panorama, made from multiple single exposures captured from the Skyfall Lounge. Each frame was photographed in sequence and blended together to form a single, continuous view.

No elements were added or removed. The final image reflects the scene as it appeared, with the panoramic format chosen specifically to showcase the scale and density of downtown Las Vegas.
